The “Ultra Probe Build V1” is on my things to build and I have some question about the coax being used.
I have looked at the transcript as I am hard of hearing and miss things needed and not on the parts list.
I have RG400 for the tip, but he does not say what to use on the output of the probe and may now matter, but would be nice to know the size of coax needed or what others are using.
Also about parts that maybe no longer, as I am still working on getting what is needed and could ask later.
I am not sure this is the best way to find what I need in the forum or a better way to ask.

Under the comments of video 181, MCL confirms to someone asking, that between the probe and main unit RG316 was used but any 50 or 75 Ohms coax would work regardless. To further confirm the above If you quickly look at the schematic diagram issued for the T-hole version below video 177 it is marked on the actual schematic that 50 or 75 Ohms can be used (no mention of any specific part number though). As for the signal-sensing input probe tip, yes RG400 was used and is marked on all schematic versions.
@ovi4 Like the old saying, if it was a snake it would have bit me.
Did he say the gage of the two wire shielded cable running along the output coax.
I remember he said it was just something he had in his junk box and I believe it did not matter.
I need to order some and looking at 20 or 22 gage.
Thank you for your help!
