Japanese FM tube radio with transformer. “works”, it receives but in need of some updating.

RCA 12AL5 Dual or Double Diode
RCA 12AU6 Pentode, Sharp Cut-off
RCA 12AU6 Pentode, Sharp Cut-off
RCA 1264
RCA 6U8A Triode pentode constructed as a beam tetrode.
RCA 6BN8 Miniature, high mu triode
RCA 12DT8 Dual Triode, rf amplifier and as a combined oscillator-mixer in fm tuners.

Hello, it doesn´t look very japanese to me. All components seem to be USA made..

Looks like it would take minimal work since it has a bunch of ceramic caps in it. Fairly clean aside from the dust on top. What is your plans for it?

Ill be going through it to get it back up and playing without danger of cooking it. It does work but I didnt keep it on long. Variacd up and some radio signal came through.

@cpechiar While looking for any info on this radio, I ran across a post talking about kits coming from Japan. It has Japanese ITT tubes but it is made for US power 117 vAC transformer.

@onedamnote Interesting, if it was assembled in Japan (low labour cost at that time) it can be understandable, but if it is a kit that the end user assembles the fact that the parts ar USA made and the kit comes from Japan is.. interesting..
