Hello all,

My first post in the forum, and after viewing numerous YT vids by Mr Carlson, I figured this forum might have the most qualified personnel (nerds) to attempt some insight or theories on what the owner of this device I just acquired was doing with it?? I know he was a DIY radio guy, vehicle patents for Chrysler in the 90s, lived in Madison Al. I know his name but won’t mention it here.

To me, it looks like an Electro-Death-Machine for a novice DIY hobby-tech such as myself. “I ain’t pluggin this thing in”!!! Yet. Maybe never!

Give it your best shot boys!

And thanks for playing!

Hi! great device. To me it looks like an Broadcast band AM transmitter, at 1650 kHz, as it says there. Looks like maybe 50 watt output and a lot of modulation with those 6L6s.

Charlie.

That makes sense! The owner had a Frankenstein antenna out back.

I’m still not plugging it in!

And don’t know what I’m going to do with it except consider it shop-art.

Thank you for the info!
