FM-DW Install in Firestone Radio

Hey guys, 

I’ve got an old friend, who asked me to help him repair some radios – mostly just caps, resistors, etc. They all work great at my house, but in the mountains he has no AM reception, except late at night with a longwire. 

I stumbled across the FM-DW, which would great for him – but I’m not confident enough to go modifying the circuit of this radio (my first Guinea pig…) without some pointers.

The radio is a Firestone S-7403-9
