I have a yaesu ft-900 that has stopped working on 40, 80 and 160 meters. All the rest of the frequencies work. The display flashes the frequecies that ar on the screen. I have have tried resetting and installing a new battery.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Is there anyone that could repair if need be
Hi, as far as I can remember (if my memory serves me) normally the Blinking / Flashing will indicate that the PLL is intermittently Out Of Lock. probably because the device has now aged and possibly some components have drifted in value a little meaning: out of alignment so the PLL circuit can no longer function properly to keep the desired frequency Locked in place.
So, there is a very good chance that You’ll need to perform a re-alignment on your FT-900.
