I re-watched some of the videos and I think I have it now. I add a ground jumper to the dut and it made a huge difference.

@tonebells Yes. I made this mistake too, but fortunately realised it quickly. Before that I thought it is way to sensitive, but realistically it is just as Paul said in the video – the design calculates with being used for probing inside chassis, which is most of the time completely grounded/shielded. After adding a ground clip, I was able to sense 10 mV sinewave going through my body and through 3 cm of thin air – on the low gain setting with sensitivity at like 9 o’clock. It is an incredible device!
Looks Awesome! I am yet to build mine…. I have all the parts necessary. but I’m busy repairing stuff for my customers. Hope I can get it done soon.
Thanks for sharing! Looks awesome! I have been gathering the parts but need to finish up other projects for I start another. I will have to look more at using the CNC to create the faceplate. Great idea.
