I’m in the process of completing the restoration of an IT-21 (as best I can). As per Mr. Carlson’s recommendations on various testers, I grabbed an IT-21 to restore for some of my ham radio restorations, all tubes. I scored one from the auction site we all know and love. Electronically it was complete and un-fixed(!). Mechanically, well, the tube info scroll was rather messed up. Someone buggered up some of the rolling tension mechanism, and as a result the scroll sheet has been damaged. The edges are wrinkled up in some spots resulting in the rolling action causing the scroll sheets to go off one side or the other.
Has anyone found a scroll that is worth using, or where to search for one? The scroll is for an IT-17 and IT-21. I did some searches and found a pdf copy of a scroll, broken down into sheets, badly copied. You couldn’t tell what levers were bold for short testing. As a result, I ended up cutting the scroll into about 11″ sheets and putting them into page protectors and a small binder. I then removed the now useless scroll mechanism and will keep the binder with the tester. I’d love to find a good scroll to replace in the tester!

I too have an EICO tester that didn’t even have the scroll. Now I am left with a large hole and a PDF version of the tube chart. Good luck finding one
Radios + Tubes + Scopes + Cars= Nothing better!
