Filament incandescent bulb compared to Halogen bulb

It’s getting harder and harder to find the “old style” bulbs nowadays …. Can Halogen bulbs work in a dim bulb tester ? they do have a filament , but it’s a different set up in the bulb ….

Give “discountcdrom” a try on eBay, he’s based in the UK. I’m not wanting to recommend any seller and don’t wish to break any rules. Here I found a range of GLS lamps in both BC and ES. I hope this is helpful to everyone.

Been thinking about this. Worst case might be to add a second socket and use two 120 volt bulbs in series. Probably the cheapest solution.

I found some on ebay , 4 bulbs to the box ….Tungsram Long Life. Commercial 100 Watt Light Bulbs , NON LED BULBS. They are standard incandescent bulbs , made in Canada , but a US seller he has 4 boxes of 4 left …… 

 

Type in Tungsram 100 watt bulbs and the site should pop up ….
