Anyone know what I need to look for to buy the insulated standoffs Mr. C has used to leave a can capacitor in place and solder to the legs of it?

I am to looking to see the same thing, maybe we should ask in the Patreon page and rewatch the video there.
I have not really got that far on my build.

In one of the videos, Mr. C says he bought the ceramic standoffs he uses in a big lot from a shop that was going out of business, and when he runs out, he’ll be looking for them too.
I have several types of the plain old terminal tie strips, that the chassis mounting lug is separate from any of the connections on the strip, but could also be used as a ground if needed. Maybe try “phenolic terminal strip” in a Google, or eBay search.
I was lucky enough to find some with an elongated chassis mounting tab, and this lets me untwist the cap can mount tab, place the terminal strip over the tab, re-twist it, then solder both tabs to the chassis for a good ground. I also fold all the positive leads over, then solder them together with a lead running to the chassis.
hope it helps!
Hi, Larry
I came across these:

Hope this might help, these type insulated terminals are not easy to find and are quite expensive.
@sherlockohms Thank you, I got all kinds from Temu for very cheap, from stainless to brass and more I would ever use in my lifetime.
I was surprised how nice they were and want to see what I would get from China.

I keep looking too. They appear to be called Double Turret Lug Insulated Standoffs, and I used to see them when I was younger at the military surplus electronics stores in the Bay Area. They were about 3/4 inch tall with a 1/4″ diameter ceramic insulator between the two turret lug ends.
No luck here in 2024 though.
@larry_n7luf I found the larger type with the one threaded end on Amazon and AliExpress, but I think I found a better solution. I just ordered 100 pieces of ceramic standoffs and the turret pins that fit them from AliExpress. Idea being to use High Heat JB Weld and insert the pins into each end of the 1/2″ long standoff. Will report back with a photo how it goes.
@larry_n7luf I also use the phenolic terminal strips and stock many variants of them. The proper term for them is a turret. I searched Mouser until I found them but I was not attracted to the price. They are available but not affordable nor exactly like what Paul uses. I have not purchased any turrets because of that I stick to the strips.
Radios + Tubes + Scopes + Cars= Nothing better!
Came up with a pretty good solution. Cost is $1.20 each in small quantities. 2 silver plated turrets inserted in a small ceramic sleeve with JB Weld High Heat.

Mr. C has the forums set up to not allow images it appears, which really detracts from its usefulness unfortunately.
