Trying to figure out which schematic to request.
Hi, if you are a contributing Patreon member the last/latest iteration for the Cap Leakage Tester dates back to November 2020 and is called the “Dual Display (color) Capacitor Leakage Tester” and the relevant videos to look at are: 107 and 108. The needed attachments are provided for Video 108.
One note to keep in mind though: This version actually comes in 2 “flavors”… 😋 One that has an adjustable forecast floor (via a small VR) or the other version that instead of a VR has a series of fixed value resistors (Er…but this version is intended for a more advanced/skilled people) So my suggestion is to choose the adjustable version since is a lot easier to tune and is somewhat cheaper. But….at the end of the day is entirely up to you. I strongly suggest you to watch both videos before making your decision but especially 108 where the second “Flavor” comes into play.
PS: Also keep in mind that this takes some patience and skill to have it built since is a fairly complex double sided design and because of it some people complained being unable to make it work some of which have said that is something wrong with the design because they cannot replicate it etc. etc. but
I can assure you that the design works 100% as described providing that you follow the instructions and the precautions to the Book !
Also make sure your work is “super duper” clean and that you only use components from reputable sources, otherwise…who knows you might end up with skewed results …if any !
