IC identification

Hi everyone, I am trying to identify a component, it’s an IC for an input board that works on a temperature recorder. the marking on the IC is L01. Hi again, just a heads up i received a somewhat unusual message upon my mobile with a couple of images attached but that message for whatever is now no longer available so i am somewhat confused… Just checking whether you have had any further information to solve your problem. Cheers

@calitechltd1gmail-com All i can see is the entire PCB in the 1st link & the second just random images from imgur. Until we can see a picture of the actual ic on the PCB as a clear closeup with the text ontop clear & legible there is little anyone can offer. Can you read the partcode yourself & have you Googled it?

@calitechltd1gmail-com, well my searches are not revealing even a trace. This often occurs when the part has been specifically coded as an in-house production item by the ic manufacturer for whomever made the product that uses the PCB. (This is very common with automotive modules). It is very likely that as a 8-SOIC package it’s just a common opamp.

Do you have any info about the PCB that would say it was made by the same folks who also built the machine it’s in or perhaps it’s a ‘module’ the industry uses. 

FWIW if i had it i’d do a small exercise & Back Engineer the circuit layout around the device and produce my own schematic. Work out what things connect to it etc & from there such information very quickly lets you see what it’s task was & what its configuration is (however this may need a wee bit of experience)… 

The one thing going for you is that it appears to be physically okay ie not a blown up detonated mess so it very likely still works okay.

Apologies, its not often i am flummoxed by a device, the most awkward can be those made by the Chinese Electronics industry as finding a datasheet can often be a battle.

What might help as well is what mode/make is the machine and are there part codes if any on the PCB?   

I am certain there’s a solution out there….

@peteb2 Thanks for the response. I am not quite good at back engineering but what I can tell you is that I know the IC is bad as I have another board that I took the IC from and it worked. The Unit that  board came out from is a Digital Temperature Recorder made by Chino America, The board is where the thermocouple wires hook up to and send the reading to an amplifier board. Thank you once again for your assistance.
