Vintage radio wattage draw and dial string diagram

I am attempting to resurrect a Silvertone model R111 with chassis serial#601152 and Sears ID#101 615. It was manufactured by Colonial pre-April 1941. I am trying to find the wattage draw to determine the right size fuse, but most importantly I am looking for a dial string restringing diagram. I have search for days with no luck. I am new to all this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks John

The wattage draw is marked on the Schematic diagram , and as for the dial string I don’t really know since it is very little info about such things but I’got an idea: It might, or might not work. I’m not familiar with Sears Model R381 but I.ve got the schematic that includes the dial string configuration. It might be the same or similar with your R111. Er…but this is a pure guess. Once you’ll look at the dial string picture you should be able to tell. Good luck.

Wow, concerning the dial string, that looks close, so perhaps I will have luck with it thanks to you. Thanks again, John

The fuse size does not need to be exact. I was going to guess about 1 amp, but that is a big boy radio! 1.5-2 amp would be safe in that case. I thought it was a small table radio or something, then I saw the push pull 6V6 audio output, 6U5 eye, and the others. I bet it has a good sound to it!

Radios + Tubes + Scopes + Cars= Nothing better!
