I’m about to start working on this unit and the vernier is not moving properly any tips on fixing it would be handy. When I turn the know there is a lot of drag but the needle does not move but I can easily move it by hand and the tuning capacitor moves with it . What is the best way to go about fixing it. Seems fumed up but I haven’t seen how this mechanism works.
@microns2026 I do have a manual but was just looking to avoid any pitfalls when dismantling this assembly. I can probably figure it out but would hate to damage something if I can avoid it.

@chris-anderson I have found that a clean and relube goes a long way on mechanisms. I am not familiar with your specific project, but I just did a radio that used the same knob for two different dial scales. The grease was dried up and prevented the mechanism from switching back and forth. Don’t take it apart if you don’t have to, hopefully it is an easy fix.
