Hi everyone, first of all, it’s such a pleasure to be part of Mr Carlson’s family.
I’m looking for a schematic or a PCB design for a sinad meter.
A really easy design, just Sinad, preferably no power meter and maybe just a 9v-12v input power.
Any design appreciated.
Yes there are copyrighted designs out there that the manufacturers prefer not to be used and I’d rather not get in strife.
Cheers,
Darren
I don’t know what you mean by: ” preferably no power meter” but, there is someone on YouTube that I stumbled across “by accident” and it caught my attention. He has made a 2 Parts video and also debated, found and fixed some design problem there: Pay attention especially to part 2 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsVajR83eRA
If it helps, You decide.
PS: Actually there was/is a Part 3 as well (that was put out some time later) but I wasn’t aware of it till now. So, check that one out should you be interested.
Ovi4, thank you so much for the reply, I can see this forum will soon be full of eager enthusiasts, like myself, asking annoying questions that I probably should know.
Most Sinad meters come with an AC volt metre, and I really wanted to keep the project and PCB easy by not having a voltmeter nor transformer circuit
Thank you for a link to the video, this meter being built, is a copy of another youtubers meter that he has also been building on YouTube. This is what I meant about getting into strife. The original YouTuber copied someone else’s design and I believe they received a cease and desist letter.
I was just putting it out there just in case someone had put an easy schematic together that literally just has a meter, input and on/off switch.
If nothing comes up, I’ll have to copy someone else’s design, plus there are other ways of tuning without the use of a Sinad meter.
Thanks again,
Regards,
Darren
Ah…got ya now. Well…..time to dig deeper I suppose. 👍
Thank you so much for that link, I’ve watched all 3 videos twice, like I normally have to with Mr Carlson’s videos.
I’m believing that this meter is similar to another meter with some much needed changes. The unit is made by himself and he’s posted a schematic that he said is available for public use.
So I sincerely thank you for taking the time to send that link, you have certainly solved my problem.
Cheers
Darren
@deckedoutdaz No worries! I always like to help if and when I can knowing how good it feels if/when someone helps me with answers too. 👍
First thing I’m new to the forum, So hi all.
I put together a Sinad unit some time back. Feb 2022
I was going to post pic of my board here, cant seem to post photos and alike on the forum.
I’m currently working on my first Mr Carlson’s lab project.
